16.7 Email Settings

A place to tell gymmaster how to connect to your internet service provider's SMTP server

• In Host Name place the name of your ISPs SMTP server (or a local SMTP smarthost if you have one),
• In port number put the TCP port to communicate with the server on (usually 25)
• For Protocol select the the options needed ``Plain SMTP `` will work for most people. But xtra's users should use host:send.xtra.co.nz port:465 and SSL)
• If your provider requres you to use a username and password to send email enter them in the spaces provided,
• Max Batch Size sets a limit on the number of emails to be sent in each SMTP conversation. Its best to leave this set to 100 unless you have restrictions on the number of emails you can send.
