13.2.2 Cards.

• There are options to configure the way in which cards are handled. The configuration decides how cards are to be treated on presentation and controls Pop Up signals.

1. Card Pop Up Settings controls when messages appear on a screenor warnings are given, triggered by the presentation of a member's card. The first box is where you set the debtor amount that will trigger a warning. Normally you would set at 1 so that all debtors give a screen warning. A high dollar amount would limit the warnings to those exceeding the set up amount. Weeks before and after give the period that reminders will show up related to a particular event (excluding birthday reminders). Reminder types are set up under configuration and the reminder itself under membership in the member screen. The reminder can be cleared in the member screen when actioned. Tick boxes dictate the sort of information that comes up automatically on the screen pop up.
2. Generated barcodes prefix allows you to customise the symbols that are written to the cards that you issue. The barcode written to the card will consist of the symbols entered here followed by the barcode number. Changing the value here will not make old barcodes invalid, but will effect the content of newly issued barcodes. The purpose of this is to allow you to have barcodes that are different from those issued by others (like video-ezy, subway, fly-buys etc...) The automatically set print card gives you a control over when GymMaster sets the print card checkbox for a member.
